Working model of horizontal axis wind mill

In the past years, it has been seen that the more consumption of non-renewable sources of energy has caused more environmental damage than any other human activity. This has in turn led to many problems being faced today such as ozone depletion and global warming.. Wind energy is one the most widely used renewable energy resource. Wind energy is the cheapest means for the production of renewable energy currently existing in nature which is freely available. A wind mill is a device that converts kinetic energy from the wind into mechanical power. The energy generation of a turbine depends on the diameter of the rotor blade and wind strength. Hence it can be seen that larger the diameter of the rotor blades more the energy that can be obtained. The blade is an important part of the wind turbine for producing wind energy.
